Mainstream Initiatives

At GNYPWD, we believe that creating an inclusive world requires collaborations that cut across sectors and demographics. This belief is reflected in our Mainstream Initiatives, through which we aim to connect and collaborate with other youth and disability organizations.

Our partnerships amplify our message, allowing us to learn from shared experiences and work collectively towards advancing the rights of young persons with disabilities. The synergy of these collaborations has led to significant achievements. In partnership with the Youth Coalition, we co-created a toolkit on the ABC of Bodily Autonomy for young persons with disabilities, which empowers our community to advocate more effectively for their rights.

We continually seek to expand our collaborations. We endorsed the Global Disability Children and Young People’s Charter (GDCYPC) in collaboration with the Commonwealth Children and Youth Disability Network (CCYDN), underscoring our commitment to broad-based cooperation.

Our Mainstream Initiatives also include active participation in social media campaigns, webinars, and workshops. These platforms allow us to raise awareness, share knowledge, and champion the rights of young persons with disabilities.

As we move forward, we remain steadfast in our commitment to inclusivity. Our Mainstream Initiatives represent our ongoing efforts to ensure that the voices of young persons with disabilities are heard, their needs are addressed, and their potentials are recognized. We invite you to join us in our mission to create a world where every young person with a disability is empowered, included, and able to reach their full potential.
